2022 « European Heritage Days 2022. Exhibition of paintings by Guy de Montlaur and LandArt works by Wang Yimming » Château de Montlaur (Hérault, France)

The exhibition was organized by Montaud Patrimoine and by the Union of Asian Artists in France. Wang Yimming wanted this exhibition to be a reflection on conflicts and on reconciliation between men.

The Second World War conflict is evoked by the Loungta doves arranged around the castle. This is also the theme of Wang's next exhibitions scheduled for autumn 2022 on the landing beaches in Normandy. The paintings of Montlaur which are exhibited depict the terrible fighting of the Battle of Normandy. Another conflict is mentioned: on the very site of the Château de Montlaur, tragic events took place during the siege of 1622 during the wars of religion. Almost all of the men who defended the castle were massacred in the name of God and Religion.
